(1988) dir Robert Bierman w/Cage, Maria Conchita Alonso, Jennifer Beals [103 min]
In one of his all-time great over-the-top performances, Cage plays publishing executive Peter Loew, a man who meets a woman he believes to be a vampire and begins to turn into one himself. Never has vampirism been played so effectively for laughs as Peter tries to adapt to his new ‘condition’ by playing up to all the great vampire movie stereotypes. Worth the price of admission alone for the scene where Cage runs down a Manhattan street yelling “I’m A Vampire!” in his best Bela Lugosi voice.
