Brattle Film Foundation 25th Anniversary Kickoff

2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the Brattle Film Foundation’s founding and we have celebrations planned all year long. As the official kick-off to the anniversary, we decided to highlight some of the films that we featured on our first official Brattle schedule from March/April 2001. In those months we screened a brand new 35mm print of THE MYSTERY OF PICASSO and hosted the premiere run of Agnes Varda’s THE GLEANERS AND I as well as series celebrating heist films, the remarkable catalog of Janus Films, and African-American cinema.
