We know, we know, there’s no Vin Diesel in this film, and that’s a major drawback, but hear us out… 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS holds up remarkably well after almost 20 years and features the original appearances of two franchise favorites, Roman (Tyrese) and Tej (Ludacris). Seeing these characters played relatively straight compared to the cartoonish versions of themselves that they become later in the series is pretty great. Who remembers that Roman eats all the time because he’s had the food in prison, and he’s determined to enjoy every bite outside of the joint? Brattle Debut!
