A lightning rod of left-field psychedelia from Italian horror maestro Lucio Fulci (The Beyond), this dreamy giallo features a score by Ennio Morricone and animatronic props from F/X wizard Carlo Rambaldi (E.T.). Rimbaldi’s effects were so lurid and realistic that he was called to testify in court on Fulci’s behalf, saving the director from a two-year stint in prison on charges of animal cruelty.
