Without a doubt, one of the biggest and most reliable stars in the late 1950s (and into the ‘60s) was Doris Day. While she really rose to stardom after leaving, she got her start at Warner Bros and she had one of her first big successes with her lead role in this rousing Western/Musical (very) loosely based on the life of the Wild West heroine Calamity Jane.
