If a film can be harrowingly hilarious, then CALIFORNIA SPLIT is that film. Made with an absolutely magnetic and manic Elliott Gould alongside the initially subdued but increasingly rabid George Segal, the film follows two friends as they indulge in an epic gambling addiction bender. [NH]
