This handsomely-staged screen adaptation of Arthur Miller’s Salem Witch Trials drama stars Winona Ryder as a jealous young woman accused of witchcraft who finds there is power in ‘naming names’ and tries to punish her ex-lover and his wife with tragic results.

For this month’s “Elements of Cinema” screening, we are thrilled to welcome long-time props master David Gulick to The Brattle. Gulick has been a man behind the scenes on film and TV for over 40 years working on projects like The Devil Wears Prada, State and Main, The Last Samurai, Ted, Little Women, Free Guy, Ripley, and even Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere. Come learn first-hand what it means to be in charge of the props for a production like THE CRUCIBLE and join us for a post-film discussion.

Admission to this screening is free and first-come, first-served beginning at 5:30pm on the day of the show. No tickets are available in advance for this screening.
