Massachusetts Space Week! Special Screening & Panel!

It’s surprisingly rare that a spoof of sci-fi films actually works as a sci-fi film in its own right, but the hilarious GALAXY QUEST succeeds spectacularly in that regard. The cast of a canceled Star Trek-esque TV show are abducted by a race of aliens threatened with extinction who believe them to actually be intergalactic heroes. Challenged to rise to the occasion, the batch of hapless actors find themselves renewed by what they are called on to become.

This screening will be preceeded by a half-hour, on stage panel featuring astronauts and other experts discussing the theme of this year’s Massachusetts Space Week, “Reaching the Sky.”
