In this classic romantic comedy/fantasy, Joe Pendleton (Montgomery), a professional boxer, amateur pilot, and terrible saxophone player crashes his plane and is incorrectly guided to the afterlife. When the mistake is realized, Joe is offered a second chance at life in the body of a ruthless businessman who has just been murdered. Seeing a chance to do some good, Joe accepts the challenge and returns to Earth. Of course, more complications ensure on his path to finding his true destiny. Nominated for Best Picture at the 1942 Academy Awards.
