With the advent of television, the 1950s became full of bids by the movie studios to get people off the couch and back to the big screen. One of the most alluring and, in retrospect, campy offerings was 3D! While The Brattle’s unique rear-screen projection set-up precludes us from screenings in actual 3D, genre master André de Toth and horror stalwart Vincent Price still impress in this gothic, grand-guignol masterpiece.
