In Jane Schoenbrun’s newest film, a pair of teenagers share a bond over a bizarre Nickelodeon-esque TV show that becomes an obsession and bleeds into their reality. When one of them disappears, the other (played as an adult by Justice Smith) struggles with normal life—until they are ultimately forced to confront the truth about themselves and their past.
