In Tribute to Tom Stoppard

Dramatist and screenwriter Tom Stoppard (Brazil, Shakespeare in Love) winningly directs his own witty dissection of Shakespeare’s bit characters. This wryly funny and sometimes slapstick film follows the two titular minor characters from Hamlet on their own trajectories which remain, mostly, philosophical and banal with only brief excursions into the grandiose main plotline that they are supporting.
