Fresh off of its packed screening at this year’s Boston Underground Film Festival, SICK OF MYSELF is a caustic dark comedy from Norway for fans of Ruben Östlund. Writer/director Kristoffer Borgli, along with fearless star Kristine Kujath Thorp, skewer the contemporary art world and the self-destructive narcissism of fame addiction. Thorp plays a woman who, jealous of the rising fame of her artist boyfriend, deliberately starts poisoning herself in an attempt to gain media attention.

In Norwegian and Swedish with English subtitles

“Hilarious and horrifying. One of the first movies to really sum up the hideous moment we live in and what it does to people.” – Bret Easton Ellis

“The work of a demonic parodist with chutzpah and judgement to spare. As misanthropic and committed to its soul-sick worldview as any black comedy. Grotesque, deeply mean-spirited, and heroically unwilling to waver from the joke.” – Ari Aster
