A Reluctant Film Critic Presents
Leave it to Joseph Losey (The Servant) to make an allegory about anxiety, conformity, and the generational trauma of war disguised as a children’s film. Teenage Dean Stockwell stars as Peter Fry, a war orphan whose hair mysteriously turns green one day after being overwhelmed by, basically, the state of the post-WWII world. Ostracized, ridiculed and harassed by his neighbors and classmates, Peter must find his place and role in the world with the help of his kindly caretaker and a sympathetic psychologist.
Double feature with ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN
Film author and educator, Gerald Peary, will be on hand to introduce these two beloved films from his childhood and sign copies of his memoir, A Reluctant Film Critic.
