Simon James (Eisenberg) is a timid man, scratching out an isolated existence in an indifferent world. The arrival of a new co-worker, James Simon (also Eisenberg), serves to upset the balance. James is both Simon’s exact physical double and his opposite—confident and charismatic. To Simon’s horror, James slowly starts taking over his life. British comedian Richard Ayoade (Submarine) directs this darkly comic adaptation of Dostoevsky’s novella, featuring a tour de force dual performance from Jesse Eisenberg.
