Directed with stylistic bravura by Wong Kar-wai, THE GRANDMASTER stars Tony Leung as Ip Man, the Wing Chun grandmaster who is most famous in the West for being Bruce Lee’s teacher. The film follows Ip Man’s rise to prominence as a martial arts master as he moves from mainland China to Hong Kong following the Sino-Japanese War.
