Another time-capsule musical featuring Judy Garland at the top of her game, THE HARVEY GIRLS was conceived as a response to the success of Oklahoma! Judy plays a woman heading to Arizona in the search for the author of the beloved lonely-hearts letters that she has been receiving. When she finds only a practical joke at the other end of the line, she joins The Harvey Girls – wholesome waitresses at a real-life pioneering chain of restaurants that aimed to civilize the Wild West.
