After leaving his dead-end job, Reed (Nick Funess) finds himself in a quarter-life crisis. Unsure of what to do, he hires an escort, Tess (Izzi Rojas), for a week’s worth of companionship, embarking on a mission to indulge his desires, both lustful and emotional. Directed, written and starring Funess, The Hedonist is a lo-fi raunchy road trip black comedy about two wandering souls in the Arizona desert as they exchange awkward glances, blunt questions, and bodily fluids.
