In a sea of mediocre reboots, this revival of THE NAKED GUN franchise succeeds where so many have failed. It is gloriously silly, unabashedly gag fueled, and effortlessly updated to the present. Taking over from the late, great Leslie Nielsen, Liam Neeson (clearly game to make fun of his own late career action hero status) stars as Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. following in his father’s footsteps as the LAPD’s resident supercop/idiot savant.
