It’s sadly fitting that this overlooked Altman gem is screening for this double feature due to the recent passing of the glorious Shelley Duvall who gives one of her typically effervescent performances here. Keith Carradine plays Bowie, the most thoughtful member of a gang of Depression Era bank robbers, who starts a doomed romance with the daughter of one of their associates (Duvall) in the midst of a crime spree.
