Friday Film Matinee
Co-presented with ScreenBoston.com and the A.R.T.’s Production of “Diary of a Tap Dancer”
Showman Jerry Travers is working for producer Horace Hardwick in London. Jerry demonstrates his new dance steps late one night in Horace’s hotel room, much to the annoyance of sleeping Dale Tremont below. She goes upstairs to complain and the two are immediately attracted to each other. Complications arise when Dale mistakes Jerry for Horace.
The Friday Film Matinee is a new, ongoing program at The Brattle featuring special screenings of 35mm prints on Friday afternoons. We know that seeing a film on 35mm is worth skipping class or leaving work early for so come play hooky with us as we celebrate the magic of ‘reel film’ at The Brattle!
This program is funded in part by The Brattle’s 35mm Film Fund. Donations to this fund maintain our film projection equipment, train future projectionists, and ensure that The Brattle will be able to continue 35mm screenings well into the future.
