Turns out not everything set in New England is spooky – this year we had so many local shorts we loved, we created another program in addition to horror! Dive into this selection of the weird and the wonderful, the esoteric and the experimental, all made by local filmmakers and/or shot in the area. From music documentaries to surreal coming-of-age stories, from twisted punchlines to magical animals: the quirky, inventive, creative side of New England is celebrated in full force with this lineup. —Alex Kittle
