About the Sound
Mon, Apr 10 – Thu, Apr 13
With the installation of The Brattle’s new sound system, we’ve been thinking a lot about movies that use sound as a narrative device, so we decided to highlight just a few of them for this program. All four of these thrillers use recorded sound to heighten the tension of their plots — two of them include film sound recording on screen as well as off. The recurring “About the Sound” program will resurface throughout the year to highlight different aspects of cinematic sound.
