We’re sure that Jennifer Lopez is considered a ‘National Treasure’ now, but in 1997 she was a rising star coming off of her success in Selena and dreaming of a music career when she starred in this film about a documentary film crew that is forced by an obsessed poacher (Voight) to help him hunt a giant green anaconda along the Amazon. In spite of its delightful, b-movie cheesiness, ANACONDA went on to gross over $100 million dollars and helped establish JLo (and her co-star Ice Cube) as bona fide movie stars.
