We’re excited to bring back our “Elements of Cinema” free screening series for regular monthly shows in 2023! Each screening is accompanied by an extended introduction by a special guest speaker on a selected topic from film history as well as a post-film coversation with the audience (schedule permitting). For this first Elements show since 2020, we welcome Ezra Haber Glenn from MIT’s Department of Urban Studies to talk about this outrageously entertaining musical and its place as a cinematic city symphony.
