FREAKSCENE is the story of the eccentric guitarist and bandleader J. Mascis, the ferocious bassist (and creator in his own right) Lou Barlow, and the dedicated drummer Murph. It is the story of a band that began as a family and fractured like one too. But like so many broken families, it’s also a band that wants to reconcile and heal the past.
