This movie is certifiably insane and definitely the most bonkers adaptation of a Marvel Comics property to date. Howard, a sentient duck from outer space crash lands in 1980s Cleveland and, of course, falls in love with the leader of an all-girl rock band played Lea Thompson. Originally penned as a satirical comic book, HOWARD THE DUCK became a hot Hollywood commodity because it was a passion project of George Lucas—and no one wanted to pass on that kind of thing after the success of STAR WARS.
