An ego trip of a decidedly more madcap and entertaining sort, HUDSON HAWK is a bonkers vanity project from Willis that goes deliriously off the rails basically from moment one. Willis plays a master thief who, fresh out of the joint, is promptly blackmailed into a series of heists masterminded by corporate villains (an absurdly over-the-top Richard E. Grant and Sandra Bernhard). Co-created by Willis and held together at times merely by the sheer force of his charisma, HUDSON HAWK is one of the most surreally, and entertainingly, bad films of the early ‘90s.
