David Lynch Birthday Tribute

Lynch’s final feature film (which premiered here at The Brattle in 2006) defies explanation as it follows a Hollywood actress (Dern) whose real-life blurs with her work, her dreams, fantasy, history, and alternate realities as she takes on a new film role. Or you can just go with Lynch’s explanation: “[it’s] about a woman in trouble, and it’s a mystery, and that’s all I want to say about it.”
