Dev Patel’s directorial debut is a thrilling, bloody action/ revenge film with Patel playing an underground fighter who single-mindedly seeks vengeance against the gang bosses who took everything from him when he was a child. Visceral and angry, MONKEY MAN outdoes the most recent John Wick films, while paying homage to The Raid and Ong Bak.
