Lou Bloom (Gyllenhaal) is a petty thief who finds that his sociopathic tendencies are a great quality for covering breaking news in Los Angeles. Obsessed with getting the most lurid (and therefore lucrative) footage, Lou is quickly immersed in deeply unethical (and often illegal) behavior. Absolutely gripping.
