Winner: Best Actor, Cannes Film Festival

This sublime film is an incredible showcase for one of the greatest actors of world cinema. Koji Yakusho stars as a a cleaner of public toilets in Tokyo who lives happily and humbly, even when his life is gently upended by the arrival of his runaway teenage niece.
