Steve Zissou (Murray) is a product of a bygone era, a macho undersea nature filmmaker whose dwindling successes have left him in both economic and personal turmoil. With the loss of his diving partner and the arrival of a man who might be his son (Wilson), Zissou and his loyal film/ship crew set off on one last grand voyage.
