The latest from world-class director Jane Campion (The Piano), THE POWER OF THE DOG paints a disturbing picture of toxic masculinity and repressed homosexuality in the American West. Set in 1920’s Montana, the film stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Jesse Plemons as a pair of brothers who become involved with a widow (Dunst) and her ostracized son (Smit-McPhee).
