With this Paul Bowles adaptation, Sakamoto once again pens a score for an international production by Bernardo Bertolucci shot by the legendary Vittorio Storaro. A trio of Americans, husband and wife Port and Kit Moresby and their friend George Tunner arrive in 1947 Algeria with an intention of traveling deep into the Sahara. Their misguided attempt at post-War tourism ultimately leads them to jealousy, strife, illness, and death.
