The film that started the trilogy! Ti West’s X is a hicksploitation slasher in the vein of Texas Chainsaw Massacre except instead of an innocent band of roadtripping hippies, the victims here are aspiring adult film stars and their crew. The plot notwithstanding, star Mia Goth—who appears in a dual role here—is outstanding.
