Hitchcock’s Birthday Weekend! 75th Anniversary! 35mm Screenings!
In Hitchcock’s final feature he aims for an uneasy marriage between the relaxed, comedic vibes of The 39 Steps and the 1970s Hollywood New Wave. George Lumley (Dern) is a hapless amateur detective working with his girlfriend, the phony psychic Blanche Tyler (Harris), to track down the long-lost nephew of a wealthy woman. Unfortunately for all involved, the nephew is not—in any way—a straight arrow.
Double feature with STRANGERS ON A TRAIN
