You Must Remember This presents "The Bisexuals"

The new season of the acclaimed film podcast You Must Remember This, launching on September 15, is called “The Bisexuals,” and it’s about torch singer—and accused murderess—Libby Holman, and her sexually-fluid group of friends and lovers from the 1920s to the end of the 1960s, which included Montgomery Clift, Tallulah Bankhead, Josephine Baker, Nicholas Ray, and many more.
The Brattle is excited to welcome back renowned film author, historian, and podcast host Karina Longworth for a trio of films handpicked to accompany this new season. On night one, we screen a double feature of the rare, modern art oddity DREAMS THAT MONEY CAN BUY—co-directed by a cadre of the 20th century’s most important visual artists and featuring an appearance by Holman herself—followed by the art-world noir LAURA. A discussion with Longworth about the films, Libby Holman, and the new season of You Must Remember This will take place between the screenings. On night two Longworth will introduce a 35mm screening of A PLACE IN THE SUN featuring the legendary Montgomery Clift in one of his finest screen performances.
