Academy Award-winning director Laura Poitras (Citizenfour) beautifully examines the life and career of photographer and activist Nan Goldin and her efforts to hold Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family accountable for the opioid epidemic. Raised in Massachusetts, Goldin often documented LGBT subcultures and the HIV/AIDS crisis and founded the advocacy group P.A.I.N. (Prescription Addiction Intervention Now) in 2017 following her own addiction to Oxycontin. Winner of the Golden Lion at the 2022 Venice Film Festival.
