The three titles in Krzysztof Kieslowski’s legendary arthouse trilogy connect to the ideals of the French flag: liberty, equality, and fraternity. In the first film, BLUE, Kieslowski considers the idea of “liberty” in a tragically ironic way. Juliette Binoche stars as a woman whose composer husband and their young child have been killed in an accident. As she works through her grief and heartbreak, she wrestles with her past and her prospects for the future.
In French, Romanian and Polish with English subtitles
