The final film in Kieslowski’s trilogy begins as a story about a model (Jacob) and her unlikely bond with a bitter retired judge (Trintignant) but soon opens up wider and wider to encompass the stories of many people and, ultimately, ends with an unexpected event that connects all three films. A rapturous cinematic experience.
