Families Are Hell Double Feature • 35mm Screenings!
In Joe Dante’s Looney Tunes meets Universal Horror mash-up, Tom Hanks plays a suburbanite whose bonkers neighbors convince him that there is a family of Satanist cannibals living next door to him. A physical comedy tour-de-farce for Hanks (and the underrated Ducommun), THE ‘BURBS is a totally insane 1980s suburban nightmare.
Thursday: Double feature with THE PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS
This program is funded in part by The Brattle’s 35mm Film Fund. Donations to this fund maintain our film projection equipment, train future projectionists, and ensure that The Brattle will be able to continue 35mm screenings well into the future.
